IIS-RU MGC3502 Students Gain Hands-On Design Experience at Once Upon A Tree Cafe

The Institute of International Studies, Ramkhamhaeng University (IIS-RU) organized an educational field trip for students enrolled in MGC3502: Design Foundation for Communication at Once Upon A Tree Cafe.

The objective of this field trip was to provide students with practical learning experiences by allowing them to apply their knowledge of design and communication in a real-world business environment. Led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Theethavat Janevatchararak, the students had the opportunity to learn directly from the business owner about strategies for promoting and communicating a food and beverage business.

During the visit, students were encouraged to engage with real business challenges and develop creative concepts based on their observations and learning. They presented their ideas and received professional feedback from the business owner, allowing them to refine their concepts and gain a deeper understanding of how design and communication can be applied to real business situations.

This field-based learning experience enabled students to connect theoretical knowledge from the classroom with practical applications while enhancing their creativity, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

The Institute would like to express its appreciation to K. Jee, K. Jang, and the Once Upon A Tree Cafe team for their kind support and for providing an inspiring learning environment for the students.

It is expected that the knowledge and experiences gained from this activity will contribute to students' academic and professional development and better prepare them for future careers in design, communication, and creative industries.
